The vegetarian combo is really popular.
Very good food, but the menu is smaller than Pita Inn. Service was excellent and I will definitely come back again
Delicious food with a few more special options than the usual Mediterranean restaurants. The bakery and meat market next door is a good stop for fresh pita and sesame baked goods to take home afterwards.
Good location (old pita inn location), variety of different veggie options, clean and fast serivce. A little pricy for this type of food, giving that it’s mostly veggies, $8 for Mjadra is very pricey, so is everything else. Some of the main items on the menu are typically side dishes.
4 options for lunch specials. Good prices.
OMG this place is so amazing, it's one of our go-tos whenever we don't feel like cooking. It's tasty Middle Eastern food that is filling, plentiful and delicious.Ordering out is quick too.You won't be disappointed!
We always frequent Zad because of the excellent customer service and quality of the food which is consistently delicious. However, just recently we came after our kids' graduation and hadn't realized it was late and close to closing time. We sat and ordered and soon we were served the best dishes we've ever had! Lamb fusslia, combo grill platter, and other dishes were delicious! We were treated like royalty and found out after they had especially served us without complaint or letting us know they had already closed the kitchen. They saw we had come after graduation and we were fasting and served us fresh hot food. We were so touched by this gesture! I would recommend Zad to anyone who covets delicious food and a feeling of home and family.
Food delicious, affordable, and the restaurant appears clean. Employees kind.
Food and good prices
We arrived at this place for dinner. we heard about this restaurant from many people. Well, it was a winning. The staff were very polite and we had a fantastic feeling. The meal was great. We loved this spot a lot and we will visit this place again. Keep it up.
Had a good experience here with my girlfriend. The food comes quick and the customer service is just fantastic. Prices are convenient.
Very delicious! Specially the shawarma wraps are to die for! I will never say no to their shawarma wraps honestly. Their plates were delicious too. The rice, yummy yum yum!
Fantastic service. Quick and enjoyable scenery. Food was the best I have had and fantastic complimentary sweet rolls. Highly recommend.
Great food, great people. Worth the drive out to the burbs. Big portions, amazing flavors and friendly service. Stop by the grocery store next door as well.
Great middle eastern food. You have to order at the counter then take a seat and wait for them to call your number. Fast food style, but the food is not. It is on a higher level. You should be paying double for this value. Try it!
Serving middle Eastern cuisine... This is less formal dining...a lunch counter type of service with a clean, attractive and well maintained seating area. They have some really good lunch specials that are delicious and plentiful. I usually get the Zad special with grilled beef, chicken, falafel, rice, salad and pita for around $8.
Absolutely healthy eating. Eating clean/ plant base is the way to go. Zad most definitely help in weight loss and improve blood pressure. Thank u zad. Staff very polite.
I celebrated my graduation yesterday in this excellent restaurant. happy to tell that we passed a fabulous evening and the venue was certainly the reason for this happy meeting. The waiters cooperated in a splendid way, the cooking was very good and my guests were very thrilled. We shall surely come back again for more events. Thank you very much.
Love the food and great service
Super Mediterranean food. The shawarma wrap is amazing and the rice and falafel are solid. So many options and a great interior to eat in. Would 100 percent recommend.
Even during these Covid times, dining out is still possible. We ordered to go, tried the impossible kabob. Really delicious and not as packed an establishment as pita inn. Definitely recommend if your looking for the falafel, rice and kabob fix.
Very tasty mediterranean food, and a pleasant place to eat. Seems like Zad has more veggie options that the regular Pita Inn, and the quality is as good as the original.
Great tasting food. Costs a tad bit more than I would expect.
I was served a big piece of fat in my steak shawarma. I’d reconsider my choices of coming here again.⬇️
Great food and service. The business lunch is such a deal!
I love the place, I like it even more than pitaeen itself.
I had grilled chicken breasts with rice and salad. It was delicious. Beef pie was ok.
Super long wait, but the food was super fresh and flavorful!! We got the chicken platter and the chicken and beef platter, both were delicious!
Delicious. A step above Pita Inn with a,slightly more interesting menu.
Clean restaurant and delicious food! Chicken shawarma is on point.
Food is consistently good . Try some of their lunch options. The veggie platter #1 is delicious!
Wow! Such good food. A bit different and better than the Pita Inn down the block yet still inexpensive
Great lamb that melts in your mouth. Well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. The hummus and bread are identical to the main Pita Inn location, which is also very good. I didn't care much for the manakish, which were cold and oddly seasoned. Overall, this is Pita Inn plus manakish and some more traditional entrees. I could see myself returning for the lamb.
Delicious and good value for your money. They have a great Mediterranean menu with some unique offerings. The chicken kefta was wonderful and definitely something I would go back for.
Great customer service. The meal was delicious. Salmon and Couscous and or rice.
Delicious, freshly made-to-order Mediterranean food with a warm, family-owned atmosphere and reasonable prices. Great vegan and vegetarian options too, although their meats are tender and perfectly seasoned. We will be regulars!
Awesome as always... 👍🙌
Happy we stopped in. My girlfriend and I were driving by and selected to drop in, glad we did. Tried the fatoush salad, pepper and eggplant salad, baba ganoush, labneh, lentil soup, everything was really good and the cashier was very sweet. We'll return.
The food is consistently well prepared and delicious, cashiers hands out awesome customer service. I love how neat it is and character. I highly recommend this spot.
Not sure where else in Skokie you can buy goat meat or find a such a wide variety of Turkish delight.
Had the lamb meal and the chicken wrap. Lamb had a very strong lamb flavor and was very salty. However, it was soft and tender. Chicken wrap was sour, as they put a pickle in it. It's different than i'm used to for Mediterranean, but not that impressed, because they put too much salt into the meal
Nice people, nice place. Those of you who are familiar with Pita Inn (which created this restaurant and used to occupy this space) know more or less what to expect. The menu is definitely, and interestingly, different though, and the whole vibe is more low key. No ambiance. Like Pita Inn you order and pick up at the counter. But the food is good and the portions are generous.
Stopped and had no idea what to get or what anything was. Staff was fantastic explaining dishes, making recommendations. Even let us sample! Food was fantastic! Large portions and the flavors were amazing. Will definitely go back and sample other dishes!
Had the lentil soup. Delicious
I can only think of one word... fantastic. The food is super fresh and you can definitely taste the freshness. The garlic sauce is incredible. The service was fantastic as well. Very glad to come here for dinner after a long day at work. I had the salmon and lamb. Excited to come back and bring friends
Healthier version of Pita Inn. Great portions, good prices.
This is a must go to place. Amazing chicken shawarma and beef shawarma. Authentic arabic style! Reminded me of jeddah!
Something new from Mediterranean food. GM Nabil was great manager. Very friendly , first i thought he is owner/partner but he is just manager and he work and treat like owner. I wish food is little hotter .
I love that place... fresh food, hospitality outstanding. It's fast from where I live however if I find myself 10 miles from the restaurant, I go. Archon to none.
I go to pita inn all the time so I had try Zad. The lamb was tender it came with a vegetable stew which had so much flavor it was delicious. The lady in the front gave me a sample before I order anything which is always nice. I can not wait to go try more of their dishes.
Lots of fresh vegetarian items good hummus pita warm and fresh old Pita Inn site redone new menu well done
